Computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems are utilized by dispatchers, call- takers, and 911 operators to prioritize and record incident calls, identify the status and location of responders in the field, and effectively dispatch responder personnel.
Computer Aided Dispatch
Unit Status – Show unit status, dispatch, en-route, on-scene, location update, and destination.
Scheduled Calls – This will allow you to add EMS, funerals, or other events. You can add the event date and time and the scheduled dispatch date and time for the call to appear on the CAD screen.
Call Status – Identified by color change so easy to identify call status changes for all users.
Radio Traffic – Allows for easy logging of unit radio traffic.
BOLO “Be On the Lookout” – Notifying all users about important BOLO information.
Email and Texting – This feature will send texts and emails about unit status and call information automatically.
CAD Alerts – Quick way to view alerts when entering a complaint card.
Call History – A quick way to view call history by location, phone, name, and vehicle tag.
Wrecker – Ability to dispatch wrecker to call using rotation or owner's request.
Mobile CAD – This CAD is designed for the officer's use on a mobile device. Allows calls to be displayed for easy viewing.
Complaint Card Reporting – This provides numerous reports. Examples: Complaint Card List Reports, Radio Logs, Wrecker Stats, CAD Summary Stats By Hour, and CAD Summary Stats By Nature just to name a few.
Dispatch Plus – Allows the user to dispatch multiple units at one time to a call.
CAD Menu – This is a quick menu designed for easy access from CAD to open other Modules or quick keys.
Toneout – This is a quick way to tone out a department and add the information to the call. This option will also interface with other software programs to send information via text or email.
NCIC – This is an interface with your department's state National Crime Information Center. If you elect to use this option you must have a stand-alone SQL server to link to the state interface. And additional charges will apply.
Call Selection – This will allow the user to select the active calls, last 12 hours, last 24 hours, last 48 hours, last 72 hours, and last week from the CAD screen. This makes it easy to view past CAD calls.
Transfer Card – The Transfer Card allows the user to easily transfer CAD information to other Modules this is to prevent double typing. For example, you can transfer to CAD Alert, CAD Location Hazard, Citations, Extra Patrol, Field Interview, Impounded Vehicle, Incidents, K9 Incident
ANI/ALI “Automatic Number Identification & Automatic Location Identification” – This is an interface used if you can get a data dump from the 911 server. This will allow the user to press a button and pull in the ANI/ALI information to the CAD call.
